Thinking back to my first day of senior year, I never expected it to go like this. Like every year, it had its ups and downs. Despiste the negatives, I couldn't have asked for a better way to end off my high school journey.
What really made this final year amazing were the people who I was able to make such amazing memories with. I was openly welcomed by a group of friends this year that soon turned into a second family. Not only did my group make senior year memorable, but so did my best friends who stuck by me through this whole crazy experience.
Something I didn’t expect this year was to enjoy all my classes so much. One class that comes to mind that I really enjoyed was journalism.
When people think of journalism they think it is all work and no fun, however it’s the opposite. Journalism held some of my favorite memories of my senior year. My classmates and Mr. Warford turned something that is not seen as the most entertaining to a class that I looked forward to going to every other day.
Every class I was greeted with the joyful smiles of my classmates and the cheerful greeting from Mr. Warford. Once it was time to talk about our warm-up news stories, I was excited to see what everyone had to share. These news stories always turned into some sort of long discussion between my classmates and I or Mr. Warford sharing some of his fascinating back stories.
My high school experience went by so fast that it feels like things I did my freshman year were yesterday. Although it did go by faster than I expected, I still cherish every good moment that happened and I’m thankful to all the bad experiences that shaped me through the years.
I would like to thank all the teachers and friends that made my senior year unforgettable. This was undeniably my favorite high school year and I hope to make more incredible memories in my future.
