The Next Elon Musk’s?

The annual innovation fair came and went, and we couldn’t have been any more excited to have been there. As part of their EDD class, seniors and juniors alike showcased their year long innovations on Thursday, May 2nd.

At the beginning of the school year, students brainstorm ideas that would make the lives of consumers easier. As they progress, they decide on an innovation and spend the rest of the year designing their product.

After all their hard work, they were finally able to show the school all of their progress and current prototypes.

There were all kinds of innovations to solve current problems. These ranged from helping the environment to helping children with disabilities.

One of the most heartwarming that I saw there was the Play2Go group, consisting of Neftali Brewster, Cory Garner, and Milena Leon. They’re innovation centered around bringing swings that were accessible to kids with disabilities who can’t use regular swing sets.

Another interesting group was the V.E.G. Biomass Briquettes, made up of Valerie Vargas, Elijah Ferman, and Giselle Baez. The main focus of their innovation was the solve the problem of “harmful pollutants being emitted into the air every time wood burns,” as put by their problem statement.

There were many other groups there, each with their own interesting idea and innovation. They all showed promising inventions that would benefit today’s consumer society.

I think it’s safe to say, TPAA might just produce their own Elon Musk one day.
