TPAA has many clubs, one being Baking Club. A lot of clubs go unknown, and some are really great clubs just that are not that out and open to the school, knowledge wise.
They meet every Wednesday from 3 - 4 pm in Ms. Von’s room (H-326). If anyone would be interested in joining the club, email. Ms. Von or the Baking Club Secretary, Abigail Garcia at :
mwupperfeld@tpaa.org
agarcia2291@tpaa.org
The purpose of this club is to learn the basics of gastronomy, such as :
Food borne illnesses
Safety videos
- ex ; what happens when you do not watch your hands
- Baking
Something cool about this club, is that they actually got to bake in our school’s cafeteria. On the first week of April, they went to the cafeteria after school to make pazookies. For them to be able to work like that in the cafeteria everyone participating had to have a permission slip signed, as well as be informed of kitchen safety.
They are currently planning on improvement and are hoping to do some fundraising, and even baking for other clubs or teams. As well as recruitment, they are hoping that they can get more members for the club so that it could be an even better experience.
Baking Club’s President, freshman Kaylin F said she enjoys the club and she’s glad to be president.
Something to expect when joining Baking Club is their set of rules which you can talk to somebody within the club so you’ll know what to do.
Joining a club is very beneficiary when applying to colleges because it looks very good on a transcript.
