Prom is right around the corner and with less than a week left, everyone is getting their last minute preparations ready. The people running for Prom King and Queen are rushing even more than others to support their campaigns.
When talking to a few of these people, they had a lot to say on why they decided to run.

When Karely Chavez and Nicholas Carrillo were asked, they, “thought it would be fun to campaign and win Prom royalty as a couple.” They have been together for a long time and know that winning it as a couple would be something amazing.
However, prom isn’t just about couples running. This year, quite a few of the people running are close friends.

Illiana Banda and Hugo Becerra have both been working hard on their campaigns and are really looking forward to Prom day. They say that “they have been friends since middle school and this would be a nice opportunity to have a last huge memory with each other.”

Neftali Brewster and Danny Urueta have also been working hard to get more votes, bringing in new and exciting posters everyday. They say that, “they have always been enthusiastic and full of life when it comes to school activities. Ending our year winning the title of Prom King and Queen would top it all off.”

Rebeca Molina and Yancey Matal, another couple, were not originally planning to run but as Prom got closer, they made the final decision to join. When asked, they said that the reason they decided to run was because “it’s our senior year and we should make the most of it.”
Although they aren’t going to be openly campaigning, they still think winning would be exciting but either way, participating is still just as fun.
So, who are you voting for?
