Yes, I know what you are thinking. “Doesn’t he always do sports for the Griffin Gazette?” I usually do, but I wanted to take the time to tell you that TPAA is hosting its very own talent show. It will be held on March 1st from 4-6pm in the Cafeteria. There will be snacks present, such as chips, candy, soda, pizza, and cookies. Now, you are probably wondering. What do I get if I win? Well, for first place, they would get a Starbucks Gift Card. For second place, they would obtain a $5 Gift Card to our very own Student Store. Finally, for third place, they would receive some type of candy.

There will be 12 performers performing. The acts consist of a combination of dancing, singing, and musical composition on instruments. However, all of the performers had to go through an audition session. That took place in Ms. Patlan’s Room (H-306) on Monday, February 18, Friday, February 22, Monday, February 25, and Tuesday, February 26, which was the last day for auditions. Final auditions would’ve been held in Ms. Patlan’s Room from 3-4pm. However, if you are a student that doesn’t want to be apart of the talent show, but you still want to see it, it will be $5 at the door. This is including parents, friends, siblings, etc. In addition, there will be a lip sync battle between teachers here at TPAA.

A lip sync battle is a battle between two or more people in which they would have to lip sync a song of their choosing. In the end, the audience gets to determine the winner by how loud the audience is when their name is called. This will be happening during the talent show, so make sure to stop by, eat some pizza, and watch young talent and teachers take the stage for a fun and eventful evening. Remember, it is only $5 at the door, so make sure to bring the whole family for a fun time at the talent show. Not to mention, the talent show and teacher lip sync battle are both sponsored by the TPAA Drama Club. For that reasoning, we can expect more creative ideas and concepts from them sometime soon. Keep up the great work, Griffins!
