Boys Volleyball First Game of the Season

After working hard, their year long wait is finally over. February 19, 2019 marked the first game of the boys volleyball 2019 season.

The varsity volleyball boys went against Rosamond High School and came out on top. When it’s the first game of the season, teams can become nervous and doubtful of their skills but our boys played as if they never heard the word fear before.

In the first set, our volleyball boys started off strong and made it difficult for Rosamond to catch up. Our Griffins would make daring plays without thinking much of it and it worked out in their favor. However, there were a few mess ups on our part but none were critical enough to shake the boys confidence or enough to lose our lead.

The second and third set was a closer game in the beginning, in comparison to the first set. There were a few times in these sets when Rosamond would be a few point ahead of Aerospace but with a few talks from Coach Perry and Coach Grissom, we were able to catch up and surpass the other team.

Our Griffins began to make smarter plays in order to sike the other team out and showing from the end results, it worked out.

In the end, all three sets came out to be a score of 25-19. This was a close game but it was also a great way to start off their new volleyball season and one could hope there are many more triumphant victories in our volleyball boys future.
