In case you thought last week’s promposals couldn’t be any more memorable, there were even more beautiful memories made this week. Senior Raul Yparraguirre left everyone in awe after his promposal to Junior Jessica Lopez on Monday. According to Yparraguirre, hours were spent working on the perfect poster to give Lopez the promposal he knew she deserved. Yparraguirre wanted to make the moment as meaningful as possible, so he not only asked Lopez's friends to be a part of the process but his as well. He asked each of their friends to hold a white rose in two separate rows, forming an aisle that led to him, the poster, and a single red rose. Although this idea has seemed to be popular this season, he wanted to make it extra memorable by having balloons fall off the top railing as Lopez collected roses from each of her friends. As someone who was lucky enough to be a part of the process, it was absolutely beautiful to witness. Nervously, Yparraguirre admitted, “The stressful part was the day of and getting everyone where they needed to be and making sure she didn’t find out. The most stressful part was the moment before she walked into the H building, and the whole time she was walking towards me because everyone is looking at me, and I’m hoping I won’t miss up.” As Yparraguirre discussed the highlights of his promposal, he said the main focus was always trying to be the best for Jessica. “I tried so hard. She means the world to me,” he said.

For those who are more intimate, like Senior Bryan Rivera, there is always the option to prompose in a more private way. Earlier this week, Bryan surprised Senior Ana Coles with a simple, yet charming, promposal. With help from friends and family, he patiently awaited his date in a room full of balloons and a candle-lit sign asking her to prom. With close family members witnessing the moment, Coles and Rivera both agree it couldn’t be more perfect. The day was hectic as Rivera and friends blew up balloons and lit as many candles as they could before Ana returned, but the outcome was worth it all. Whether you’re more extroverted like Yparraguirre or intimate like Rivera, there are a plethora of promposal ideas for your date this year, and we can’t wait to see them all.
